Hyphen Dash and Voices of Children Announce a Collaboration to Support Children in Ukraine

War changes childhood. Children hear explosions, hide in shelters during air raid alerts, and read news that should never be part of a child’s world. These experiences leave deep scars, which is why timely psychological support is so crucial.

Voices of Children, in collaboration with the band Hyphen Dash, is launching a charitable initiative to raise awareness about children affected by the war. Our goal is to raise funds for psychological support for children as part of the release of the band’s new album, titled LATE.
Recently, together with the FUSION JAMS community, we hosted a music lab for teenagers. The children explored rhythm, sound, and voice as ways to express both themselves and their emotions. After the event, the idea emerged to do something bigger. One of the lab’s mentors and a co-founder of FUSION JAMS, Myshko Birchenko, is also the frontman of the Hyphen Dash band. He became the driving force behind this new charitable initiative with our Foundation.
An Album About “Being Late,” Which Turns Out to Be Right on Time
Hyphen Dash recently released their first full-length album. The music matured over six years and, as the musicians themselves say, “arrived as late as it needed to be.” The album includes 14 tracks.

LATE is an album about the feeling of being “late”: late to act, to live fully, to notice what truly matters. At the same time, it serves as a reminder that even being late can still be timely. The child on the album cover symbolizes the potential of the future resting on the remnants of the past. It is precisely for this future that our team works, helping children cope with the consequences of war and grow without the burden of traumatic experiences.

How You Can Help Children
All funds raised through this initiative will be directed toward psychological support programs for children affected by the war. We believe that a happy and prosperous future for postwar Ukraine begins today with its children. Every donation is an investment in a healthy, self-sufficient, and conscious generation that will shape the future of Ukraine.

We thank Hyphen Dash for this important initiative and invite everyone to support the fundraiser and attend the band’s major solo album presentation concert on November 30 at Concert Hall (Kyiv, 41 Kyrylivska Street).

“Artur”: A Film About a Writer Who Gave Kindness a Voice
Three years ago, Artur Dron—a poet and veteran—created an Excel spreadsheet on his computer and called it “The Literary Million.” That was the amount, in hryvnias, he dreamed of raising to support children through our Foundation. Eventually, the file had to be renamed: the number in it was growing faster than the title could keep up with the story.
25,000 Stories of Support Through Teenagers’ Eyes: Annual Report of Voices of Children for 2025
For Voices of Children, every annual report is an opportunity to look back, take stock of what we have achieved, and thank everyone who has stood alongside children. That is how the Foundation’s Chair of the Board, Olena Rozvadovska, describes the purpose of these pages. The 2025 report was created together with teenagers who took part in our art labs. They conducted real interviews with the Foundation’s team members, asking about their daily work, challenges, and what inspires them.
“I’m Falling Apart Emotionally”: What Children and Parents Bring to Online Psychologists During Wartime
The Voices of Children Foundation’s online psychological support helpline receives requests every day from children and parents across Ukraine and abroad. Anxiety and sleep disorders, loss of appetite, self-harm, and burnout among mothers — chronic stress gradually wears down mental health. The first signs often appear through physical symptoms, leading families to seek help from pediatricians or gastroenterologists before realizing that the root cause may be psychological and emotional strain.
