Assistance for Children and Parents

There are no children in Ukraine who have been spared by the war. Some were compelled to abandon their homes, others were separated from their parents, and some lost access to necessary treat

Even the need to periodically seek shelter during air raids and passively observing war events in the news can significantly impact a child’s psyche. That is why we strive to address children’s diverse needs, hear them out, and provide timely, professional assistance in line with their requests.

Our approach:

  • we work on stress management and PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) prevention in children;
  • we discuss the approach and form of assistance for each child with their parents;
  • our experience shows that the best results in overcoming childhood trauma can be achieved with the help of professionals;
  • we only use safe, non-traumatic psychological interventions in our practice;
  • we work directly with children and advocate for their rights and well-being.
We stand for a future where children are not victims of war, but free and happy citizens.

We are implementing the following:

  • a psychological and psychosocial support program through mental health services, considering needs and global best practices in dealing with war trauma;

  • non-formal education program that increases opportunities for quality recreation and leisure for children from frontline territories, conducts camp programs, and amplifies the voices of children within their communities;

  • family support program utilizing case management technology to provide high-quality, comprehensive, and accessible social services for families with children affected by the war;

  • support program for children with autism spectrum disorder, and their parents during wartime through purchasing rehabilitation, therapeutic, and development services, as well as providing psychoeducation and support groups for parents;

  • program supporting children and families of combatants, prisoners of war / hostages, and missing persons through the implementation of our proprietary psychosocial rehabilitation program “CAMP+” and other individual assistance programs;

  • an individual humanitarian aid program for families with children under 18 who are receiving psychological assistance at the Foundation’s regional Сenters, under the guidance of case managers, or referred from other programs or projects.
