Child Voice Advocacy

One of the key areas of work for Voices of Children is advocacy — activities aimed at representing and protecting the interests of Ukrainian children in our country and worldwide. It involves the following steps.
1. Monitoring the situation regarding children's rights. We document war crimes against children and violations in the field of child protection; describe breaches of children's rights to safe living conditions, medical care, education, recreation, etc.; and provide recommendations for further actions by the state to protect the rights and freedoms of children. In this regard, the foundation contributed to the development of the Ethics of Interaction with Children Affected by Armed Conflict and War.
2. Raising awareness about children's issues, particularly during the war. To achieve this, we speak at Ukrainian and international platforms, launch social campaigns, and create artistic products together with children:
  • The documentary film "House of Splinters", nominated for the 2023 Oscars.
  • The quote book "War Through the Voices of Children".
  • The short film "What Have We Lost?".
  • The feature film "Generation".
3. Nothing for children without children. We share power with children and discuss all important issues that affect their lives together with them.
