Voices of Children, SkyUp Airlines, and Kochut Launch a Charity Fundraiser to Support Children Living in Frontline Areas

The Voices of Children Foundation, in cooperation with SkyUp Airlines and the Kochut jewelry house, announces the launch of a charity fundraiser aiming to raise ₴500,000. All proceeds will go toward providing essential psychological support for children from frontline regions of Ukraine who have endured the traumatic experiences of the war.
The initiative was inspired by the story of 16-year-old Sofiia, who moved from Kyiv to Switzerland with her family. There, she struggled with adaptation, loneliness, and bullying. After reaching out to the Voices of Children Foundation, Sofiia received professional psychological support online. With the help of the Foundation’s psychologists, she managed to cope with stress and gradually integrate into a new environment.

For a school project, Sofiia decided to create a symbol of Ukrainian ingenuity, unity, and dreams of a peaceful sky, destroyed by Russia—a model of the Mriya aircraft, which symbolically translates into Ukrainian as “dream”. She built the model by hand (113 × 110 cm), documented the entire process, and prepared a presentation about the fate of the AN-225 airplane.

Her own experience of receiving qualified psychological help inspired Sofiia to help others. During her school presentation, she spoke to classmates, teachers, and parents about the war in Ukraine and the children who need support due to constant Russian attacks. She urged the Swiss community to donate and join efforts to help Ukrainians.

Later, Sofiia initiated a large-scale fundraiser to support Ukrainian children who need help the most.
There are children who have lost their parents, who have lost their homes, whose families are separated because a parent is at the front line. That’s why I believe psychological support is necessary in these cases. The funds should not go towards toys or my own whims, but to help the country,
Sofiia explains.

Sofiia’s story deeply moved the representatives of SkyUp Airlines and Kochut, so the companies decided to support her initiative and help scale up the fundraising campaign.

The fundraiser includes a giveaway of valuable prizes to donors. Every donation starting from ₴100 via the Monobank Fundraising Jar automatically enters the giveaway.

Among the prizes are:
  • an exquisite pendant crafted by Kochut, plated with white rhodium;
  • a travel set from SkyUp: a branded suitcase, a vibrant scarf, and a stylish polo;
  • a special merch set from the Voices of Children Foundation.

The grand prize will be Sofiia’s handmade model of the Mriya aircraft, awarded to the person who makes the largest donation.

All raised funds will be directed by Voices of Children to provide essential support to children from frontline areas of Ukraine. These children face the daily consequences of war: loss of loved ones, destroyed homes, constant stress because of shelling, and forced displacement.
Let’s show Sofiia that good causes multiply and find support. Thanks to your help, Sofiia’s Mriya will turn into professional psychological care for hundreds of children from the frontline areas. Our huge thanks to you, Sofiia, and to our partners—SkyUp Airlines and Kochut—for supporting this initiative and helping children,
says Azad Safarov, co-founder of the Voices of Children Foundation.
Sofiia’s story reminds us how important it is to support children’s dreams, especially now. Such initiatives are our shared responsibility. For our team, this is a way to help children who need not only material support today, but also hope and the feeling that their dreams matter.

What Happens to Ukrainian Children After Returning from Russian Occupation: A Voices of Children Analytical Study

“Artur”: A Film About a Writer Who Gave Kindness a Voice
Three years ago, Artur Dron—a poet and veteran—created an Excel spreadsheet on his computer and called it “The Literary Million.” That was the amount, in hryvnias, he dreamed of raising to support children through our Foundation. Eventually, the file had to be renamed: the number in it was growing faster than the title could keep up with the story.
