Since June 2023, psychologists of the "Voices of Children" charity foundation have provided support to 105 children who have experienced abduction, deportation, or forced separation from their families.
There is a complex story behind each number that requires an individual approach to each child.
Natalia Sosnovenko, the head of the Children's Voices’ Center for Psychological Expertise and Methodology, spoke about this at the FICE Cafe event "The Problem of Deportation of Ukrainian Children During the War" as part of the FICE Special Task Force Hand in Hand initiative.

The event was held to raise awareness among the international community about the problem of deportation of Ukrainian children during the war, in particular among members of the International Federation of Educational Communities (FICE International), which unites organizations from more than 30 countries to support children in difficult circumstances, with special needs and without family care, ensuring their development and protection of their rights in accordance with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. Experts discussed the results of Ukrainian research and possible ways to solve the problem.
Natalia Sosnovenko told international experts that children who have survived deportation have a high level of anxiety, fear, feelings of betrayal and are in critical need of emotional support. Therefore, the task of specialists is to create a safe environment for the rehabilitation of such children.
Every child has the right to a family, and the work of the fund is aimed, in particular, at their return to Ukraine and to their families.
