“Voices of Children” Psychologists Engage in Burnout Prevention at Estonian Seminar

Six psychologists from “Voices of Children” participated in a seminar titled “Burnout Prevention Through Various Forms of Therapy” from the 14-16 October. The educational event took place in Harjumaa, Estonia.
The foundation’s professionals work closely with people facing intense emotional challenges and often experience trauma themselves due to living in wartime conditions. To prevent burnout and maintain their ability to help others, these psychologists require consistent outings to restore their own well-being.

I was delighted to attend the training, which took place in an incredible city on the shores of the Baltic Sea. I gained new knowledge in the use of art therapy techniques and music therapy for self-renewal and maintaining a resourceful frame of mind,

shared one of the participants, Yuliia Tukalenko.
Alongside art therapy and music therapy, the seminar explored storytelling and narratives as tools for self-regulation. Among the trainers was Alice Pehk — a psychotherapist and educator with over 30 years of experience in the field of music therapy.
The professionals found renewal in the peaceful surroundings, far from air raid sirens and shelling, where natural beauty replaced the sounds of war.
