Psychological Support for Children: Kyiv School of Economics and Voices of Children Create New Opportunities

The "Voices of Children" Charitable Foundation and the Kyiv School of Economics (KSE) have officially joined forces to advance psychological support for children affected by the war and to help train future mental health professionals.

The memorandum of cooperation lays the groundwork for joint research, educational initiatives, and student internship programs.

Olena Rozvadovska, co-founder of the "Voices of Children" Foundation, emphasized the importance of this partnership.
Creating a supportive environment for children and youth as they live through and recover from the experience of war—by strengthening professional communities—is one of the Foundation's key missions. Partnering with such a powerful institution as the Kyiv School of Economics will enable us to build a national network of specialists providing psychological assistance to children and parents and promote a well-informed and self-reliant younger generation regarding mental health. It is also vital that the voices of Ukrainian professionals are heard loudly on international platforms. I believe this partnership will amplify that as well,
says Olena Rozvadovska.
The memorandum marks an essential step in developing expert support for children and young people navigating difficult life circumstances. The joint initiatives of KSE and Voices of Children will help promote awareness of the importance of mental health—both in Ukraine and internationally.

Valeriia Palii, Academic Director of the KSE Bachelor's Program in Psychology, commented on the signing of the memorandum.
Our psychology program is actively expanding its network of partnerships with various organizations, and we are extremely pleased to now count the Voices of Children Foundation among them. They do significant work helping children affected by the war. We hope that our students will have the opportunity to complete internships as part of the Foundation's initiatives. Additionally, we are exploring the possibility of conducting joint research in the future,
says Olena Rozvadovska.

“Artur”: A Film About a Writer Who Gave Kindness a Voice
Three years ago, Artur Dron—a poet and veteran—created an Excel spreadsheet on his computer and called it “The Literary Million.” That was the amount, in hryvnias, he dreamed of raising to support children through our Foundation. Eventually, the file had to be renamed: the number in it was growing faster than the title could keep up with the story.
25,000 Stories of Support Through Teenagers’ Eyes: Annual Report of Voices of Children for 2025
For Voices of Children, every annual report is an opportunity to look back, take stock of what we have achieved, and thank everyone who has stood alongside children. That is how the Foundation’s Chair of the Board, Olena Rozvadovska, describes the purpose of these pages. The 2025 report was created together with teenagers who took part in our art labs. They conducted real interviews with the Foundation’s team members, asking about their daily work, challenges, and what inspires them.
“I’m Falling Apart Emotionally”: What Children and Parents Bring to Online Psychologists During Wartime
The Voices of Children Foundation’s online psychological support helpline receives requests every day from children and parents across Ukraine and abroad. Anxiety and sleep disorders, loss of appetite, self-harm, and burnout among mothers — chronic stress gradually wears down mental health. The first signs often appear through physical symptoms, leading families to seek help from pediatricians or gastroenterologists before realizing that the root cause may be psychological and emotional strain.
