The “Voices of Children” Raised Nearly $35,000 to Support Children in Sumy

The Voices of Children Charitable Foundation has completed its fundraising campaign to open a psychological support center in the frontline city of Sumy. Instead of the planned $30,000, the campaign raised a remarkable $34,789, thanks to donors from around the world.

The campaign aimed to make support systemic rather than isolated. The funds raised will allow us to set up a fully equipped psychological support center for children in Sumy and strengthen the work of our mobile team in the region.
The Foundation is already searching for a space for the future center—one that is safe, accessible for children, and suitable for our specialists..

Since November 2024, our team has been working in Sumy and nearby communities, offering individual and group sessions for children coping with loss, fear, and anxiety. Despite Russia’s constant attacks, our specialists continue their work.

We are truly grateful to everyone who took part in the campaign—whether through a donation, words of support, or by sharing. Thank you for protecting childhood with us.

Beyond Sumy, we continue working across other regions of Ukraine—and we are even building a large-scale rehabilitation center for children and families affected by the war. You can support our ongoing work with a donation.

25,000 Stories of Support Through Teenagers’ Eyes: Annual Report of Voices of Children for 2025
For Voices of Children, every annual report is an opportunity to look back, take stock of what we have achieved, and thank everyone who has stood alongside children. That is how the Foundation’s Chair of the Board, Olena Rozvadovska, describes the purpose of these pages. The 2025 report was created together with teenagers who took part in our art labs. They conducted real interviews with the Foundation’s team members, asking about their daily work, challenges, and what inspires them.
“I’m Falling Apart Emotionally”: What Children and Parents Bring to Online Psychologists During Wartime
The Voices of Children Foundation’s online psychological support helpline receives requests every day from children and parents across Ukraine and abroad. Anxiety and sleep disorders, loss of appetite, self-harm, and burnout among mothers — chronic stress gradually wears down mental health. The first signs often appear through physical symptoms, leading families to seek help from pediatricians or gastroenterologists before realizing that the root cause may be psychological and emotional strain.
