Experts from "Voices of Children" Will Support the Participants of “Junior Eurovision 2024”

The Charitable Foundation "Voices of Children" has signed a cooperation agreement with the National Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine. The Foundation's psychologists will provide support to participants in the National Selection for the "Junior Eurovision 2024" Song Contest.
Our psychologists will be there to provide support and create a safe space for the competition,
commented Olena Rozvadovska, the Head of the Foundation.
Child mental health has become a key focus for the organizers of the song contest, as this is the 3rd time the National Selection is taking place amid the large-scale war.
We understand the significant impact that war can have on a child's well-being and creativity. Therefore we are committed to offering additional support and psychological comfort for the children as well as providing resources and guidance for parents and teachers on how to nurture a child's creative spirit even amidst the challenges of war,
explained Oksana Skybinska, the Head of the Ukrainian Delegation at Eurovision.

How "Voices of Children" Experts Will Support the National Selection Participants

The Foundation's experts will provide psychological support to children not only during the National Selection process but also during the summer “Star School” — a new addition to this year's program.
Psychologists Oksana Pysareva and Yuliia Tukalenko, along with leisure activities expert Oksana Bohutska, will conduct group workshops where they will teach grounding and relaxation techniques, ways to release physical tension, and more. By helping the children manage stress and build resilience, the children will be able to fully unleash their creative potential.
Additionally, one-on-one sessions will be available for participants to speak with a psychologist.
Our involvement begins at the initial stage of participant onboarding, where we connect with both the children and their parents. Our support extends beyond the children themselves, recognizing that this can be a stressful situation for everyone involved. We aim to establish open communication with parents as well,
explained Oksana Pysarieva, a psychologist with "Voices of Children".
In addition to “Voices of Children”, the educational foundation GoGlobal will also be providing support for the mental health of the Junior Eurovision participants. Tetyana Kovryha, Director of GoGlobal, shared that they will be conducting art therapy sessions for the children.
