For the fourth year in a row, we have been running summer and autumn camps for children who have lived through the traumatic experiences of war. We want them to carry other memories, too—memories of a safe space, new friends, and their own inner strength.
Fourteen days in the Carpathians is a time of healing and rest for children growing up in the reality of shelling, loss, and constant anxiety. At the camp, they take part in individual and group sessions with psychologists, art and movement therapy, team games, creative workshops, and talent nights. Together with specialists, we create a safe space where they can feel supported, relax, open up, and develop resilience.
“The most valuable thing here is connecting with peers and having sessions with psychologists. I’m ready to share this knowledge with my friends,” says Liliia, a participant from a previous camp session.
We learn the story of each child and adapt the program of every session to the needs of the participants, so that after 14 days, they leave the camp with practical tools to cope with stressful situations.
In 2024 alone, we held 17 camps for 568 children. But the demand far exceeds our capacity—that’s why we’re reaching out to you for support.
Right now,
we are raising funds for two more camp sessions—for 112 children from the families of Ukraine’s defenders, internally displaced families, and those living in frontline or recently liberated areas.
With your support, we can give these children warm memories, meet their needs, and help them regain the inner strength they need to overcome the consequences of war.
