Let’s help children rise above the ruins of war!
We are a team of students from the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg and have decided to use our film If I Could Fly to raise awareness of the immense, often hidden burden carried by children who are exposed to severe psychological and emotional distress due to war or displacement. These burdens frequently have long-lasting consequences, spanning years or even generations.
The two protagonists—sisters who have fled the war and miss their father—stand as representatives for millions of children worldwide who share similar, and in many cases, even worse fates.
When we started working on this film, we never imagined that the war would still be ongoing two and a half years later. This makes it all the more important for us to stand up for the innocent victims of war—especially the children.
We hope that our story will help convey the immense weight these children must bear.
Our fundraising campaign aims to raise $10 000 to provide psychological support for children who have experienced war. With this money, the Voices of Children charity foundation will be able to cover a month of work for one of the psychological assistance centers for children along the front line. Or organize psychological support through the work of a mobile team of psychologists.
The Voices of Children Foundation has over 10 years of experience in helping children affected by war. Through specialized programs and experienced psychologists, they offer support in coping with loss, trauma, and more. Their foundation operates 11 regional centers, and mobile brigades reach even the most remote communities, especially those along the front lines.
Let’s do this together—so that no child has to endure the experience of war alone.
