The OSCE published a report on the abduction of Ukrainian children by Russia

The OSCE report on the deportation of Ukrainian children by the Russians states that Russia committed a war crime by relocating children from Ukraine. Preparation of the report was initiated by 45 OSCE participating countries within the framework of the "Moscow Mechanism". These deportations can also be considered crimes against humanity, the document states.

The report emphasized that after being abducted and taken away, Ukrainian children are "exposed to the influence of pro-Russian information campaigns", which is often the so-called "total re-education".

In addition, the adoption of Ukrainian children by Russians is incompatible with the Fourth Geneva Convention. And changing the citizenship of children is a violation of the Convention on the Protection of the Civilian Population in Time of War.

The organization urged Russia to immediately stop the deportation of Ukrainian children, noting that the International Criminal Court is also investigating these violations.

The Foundation welcomes and supports the efforts of international organizations, in particular, the OSCE, within the framework of the Moscow mechanism, to investigate the crimes of deportating Ukrainian children to Russia and the territories of Ukraine temporarily occupied by it. The expert group confirmed the facts of war crimes against Ukrainian children. In the future, this report will be used to prove Russia's guilt in committing the crime of deportation and will help return all deported Ukrainian children home.

Recently, the PACE recognized the forcible transfer of Ukrainian children to Russia as genocide. Human rights activists of the Voices of Children also read a letter from a boy living under the occupation in the European Parliament and called on Russian criminals to return Ukrainian children home.

August at Voices of Children: Youth Retreat, Celebrity Visits, and the End of the Camp Season

August was a really eventful month at the Foundation, even as Russian attacks across Ukraine intensified and children and their families spent many nights in shelters. Sessions continued at our regional centers, along with outreach visits to communities. For the first time, alumni of all our art residencies came together in the Carpathians, while Liev Schreiber and Katheryn Winnick visited our Kyiv center. Well-known Ukrainians read poems by our teenagers, the “Thread” photo exhibition set off on a tour through Ukrposhta branches, the summer camp season came to an end, and together with the band Hyphen Dash, we completed a fundraiser for psychological support. “Hold Fast to Life”: Actress Katheryn Winnick Meets Ukrainian Children Affected by the Russian War in Kyiv
