Camps

Carefree summers, outdoor games, and new friends are all part of an ordinary childhood—one that war has taken away from many Ukrainian children. That is why Voices of Children created dedicated camp programs to help restore their sense of safety, joy, and confidence.

Our camps are first and foremost residential psychosocial support programs for children. Rest and recreation are only one part of the process. We run camp sessions every year, with separate programs for children and teenagers, as well as family formats where adults and children come together to recover and regain strength. Registration for every session is announced publicly on the Foundation’s social media channels.

In 2025 alone, we organized 13 residential camps attended by 589 children and 21 intensive programs at our centers for another 338 children.

Voices Camp
A creative camp where children recover through art, sport, team activities, and support from psychologists. It aims to help children build the inner resources they need to cope with the consequences of war and regain confidence in themselves.
  • How long does it last? 14 days. Sessions take place during the summer, autumn, and spring school holidays.
  • Where is it held? In a safe region in the western part of Ukraine.
  • Who can take part? Children aged 10–15, or 12–15 for some sessions, who need support because of the war. This includes children who have fled shelling, lived through the Russian occupation or deportation, live in frontline areas, or have close family members serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
  • How can I apply? Follow the Foundation’s social media channels and look out for registration announcements. Applications usually open in late spring and continue throughout the summer. Participation is free, but the number of participants in each session is limited.
What children can expect at Voices Camp:
  • Creative workshops and activities
  • Theater productions and performances
  • Self-discovery and self-presentation training sessions
  • Sports and outdoor activities
  • Individual and group sessions with psychologists
  • Excursions, film nights, dance battles, and talent evenings
  • Traditional evening gatherings, quests, and festivals
On the last day, we were given something like woolen necklaces, and we tied colorful threads onto one another’s necklaces. They were little knots to remember each other by: when you became friends with someone, you said something kind and left your thread on their necklace. That ritual is my warmest memory of Voices Camp. My necklace is still hanging on the wall in my room. I look at it and remember,
— says Liza, a participant in the 2024 camp.
In summer 2026, Voices Camp was held with the support of and in partnership with the Olena Zelenska Foundation for the third year in a row. Over the years, the camp has also been supported by Binance Charity, Alongside Hope, and charitable contributions from individuals, businesses, and the governments of partner countries.
Lord of the Elements
A specially designed camp with a strong focus on physical activity, where teenagers learn to master the four elements. Over the course of one week, every adventure helps strengthen the body and build confidence.
  • How long does it last? 7 days.
  • Where is it held? In a safe region in the western part of Ukraine.
  • Who can take part? Teenagers aged 12–17. Priority is given to children of Ukraine’s defenders, orphans, teenagers with IDP status, and those living in frontline areas.
  • Applications usually open in late spring and continue throughout the summer. Participation is free, but thenumber of participants in each session is limited.

What children can expect at Lord of the Elements

  • Water — rafting on a mountain river and learning about water currents.
  • Air — rock climbing, high ropes courses, ziplining, and climbing a mountain.
  • Earth — forest hikes and cave exploration.
  • Fire — campfires and outdoor cooking.

Each element combines a physical challenge with psychological support, including art therapy, teamwork, and reflection. Between climbs and rafting trips, there is also time for swimming, sports competitions, and boardgames.
Thank you for all the emotions and memories. I enjoyed everything. The mentors were wonderful and so much fun. They will always have a place in my heart. I only wish the time had not passed so quickly,
— says Anzhelika, a participant in Lord of the Elements.
We have been running Lord of the Elements since 2023. In summer 2025, four sessions brought together 120 teenagers.
CAMP+
A recovery and resilience-building program for the families of Ukraine’s defenders. It helps the wives and children of Ukrainian soldiers reduce the effects of prolonged stress, regain stability, and gradually rebuild a sense of inner strength.
  • How long does it last? 3 weeks.
  • Where is it held? In a safe region in the western part of Ukraine.
  • Who can take part? Wives and children of Ukrainian soldiers. Separate sessions are held for families of fallen, missing, or those held in Russian captivity, as well as active-duty defenders and veterans.
  • How can I apply? Follow the Foundation’s social media channels and look out for registration announcements. Participation is free, but the number of participants in each session is limited.

What the CAMP+ program includes

  • Group sessions with psychologists, held separately for adults and children according to age

  • Individual sessions

  • Creative and resilience-building activities

  • Art therapy

  • Body-based therapy

  • Educational sessions and informational support

  • Peer-to-peer communication and support

Support continues after the session ends. Participants join an online community, while the Foundation’s team remains in contact with families throughout the year, offering consultations, referrals to specialists, and humanitarian assistance when needed.

Here, everything feels different. A different format that feels easier. A lecture, a game, or a conversation. You share your pain, and a specialist helps you see possible ways forward, encourages you to find your ownstrength. We feel inspired, we are supported, we are told: keep living, find joy for yourself and your children,
— says Yuliia, a program participant.

In 2025 alone, the Foundation held five CAMP+ sessions attended by 80 adults and 108 children.

The CAMP+ methodology was developed by the Foundation’s psychologists and approved by the Academic Council of the Ukrainian Scientific and Methodological Center of Applied Psychology and Social Work. In October 2025, the Foundation presented the program at the international EPPC conference in Málaga.

The next camp may still be some time away, but what if you need support today? We’re always here.
