Oxygen. Books should see their poets

Children and teenagers who have lived through war have much in common: similar emotions, fears, and hopes for something better. Their own creativity helps them cope with what they carry, find inspiration, and reach understanding. When teenagers share their work within a safe circle, they feel that their stories matter.

The collection "Oxygen" brought together 13 voices of young authors. Teenagers joined the project from Kharkiv and the Odesa region, the Vinnytsia and Kherson regions, occupied Crimea, the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, Chernihiv, and other parts of Ukraine. These are children who have lived through the loss of home; who are waiting for loved ones to return from the war; who remain in frontline cities under shelling.
