On July 6, the Voices of Children Charitable Foundation and the Secretariat of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights signed a memorandum of cooperation to protect children's rights under martial law at the Ombudsman's Office.
From now on, the Commissioner's Office and Voices of Children will organize various events and carry out joint projects aimed at psychological and psychosocial assistance to children and families. The Foundation and the Office will also exchange information that will help both parties in their work to protect children's rights.
"In practice, we have been collaborating for a long time, even organizing joint events abroad," says Olena Rozvadovska. "Families in need of psychological and psychosocial support and individual humanitarian assistance are referred to our Foundation. The main framework of the memorandum is aimed at joint efforts to protect children and families affected by the war and to strengthen the voice of children in the international arena."
Roman Romaniuk, Head of the Ombudsman's Secretariat, highlighted the importance of psychosocial assistance to Ukrainian children and families: "By exchanging information, we can develop common experience and organize hands-on practical support."
Voices of Children and the Secretariat of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights can also work together on advocacy and humanitarian assistance to children and families affected by the war.
