HarperCollins Publishers, which is among the top 5 English-language publishers, has received the copyright of the book "War through the Voices of Children". A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each book will go towards providing psychological support to Ukrainian children affected by war.
Last year, we presented the book at the European Parliament, OSCE, and to many European leaders. Collaborating with a world-class publishing house means that the voices of Ukrainian children will be heard worldwide. This is our goal,

The Foundation published the book in collaboration with the Ukrainian literary agency OVO, which was involved in discussing the idea and format of the book from the outset. Negotiations with the publisher for the sale of ownership rights lasted over six months.
At the London Book Fair in April 2023, we first received initial interest from HarperCollins for publishing this book. This led to the longest negotiations in my career, culminating in the signing of the agreement. Despite various technical and bureaucratic challenges, we finally concluded this deal in January 2024,

The "Voices of Children" granted the right to translate the book into all possible languages of the world, except russian and belarusian. The approximate start of book sales is planned for October 8th, 2024 in the USA.
“HarperOne, an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers, is so excited to share this powerful book with readers around the world,” says HarperOne Group President and Publisher Judith Curr. “Heartrending and beautiful, the book shows us what it is like to be a child living in a country under siege—or living in a foreign city or land far from everything you have known and loved—in the children’s own words. Some quotes are hopeful and others are steeped in sadness and fear, and combined they have the power to connect readers of all ages with the human impact of war. Each purchase directly impacts the children: The proceeds payable to the Voices of Children Charitable Foundation provide mental health support for Ukrainian children.”
What is the Book about
The book contains about 100 emotional quotes that demonstrate children’s paradoxical view of war. Designers, artists, photographers and celebrities from different parts of the world illustrated these quotes. To the anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the "Voices of Children" Charitable Foundation has published it.
A few years ago, our friend Olia Vovk started recording funny and witty sayings of children. “Oh, and let’s collect such quotes and publish a book!” — we decided then. After February 24, we continued to collect them, and… they didn’t become less funny and interesting, but now they became the voices of children of war,

Since 2015, the "Voices of Children" Charitable Foundation has been offering free psychological support to children and their families affected by war, as well as various humanitarian aid to families and communities. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the Foundation has helped approximately 80,000 children and parents.
