On 3 October, during the Warsaw Security Forum, which was held under the slogan "For Your Freedom and Ours", Ukraine's path to victory in the war, its future in the EU, and armed support from partner countries were discussed..
Thanks to the International Centre for Ukrainian Victory, 17-year-old Oleh Afanasiev spoke at the Forum about his experience of the war. Politicians from EU member states also received the book "War through the Voices of Children" from Olga Aivazovska, co-founder of the Centre.
"War through the Voices of Children” is a unique and truthful publication that contains quotes from Ukrainian children about the war. Each quote was illustrated by famous artists, illustrators and children themselves.
On her Facebook page, Olga Aivazovska wrote a letter to thank the partners who took part in the Forum and also noted the book with children's quotes: "It is an incredible publication of the Voices of Children Foundation with short testimonies of those who saw the war through children's eyes, and thus began to perceive the cruel reality in an adult way. After a separate meeting, I sincerely believe that our plans can be implemented together with the Austrian side, and I am grateful for all the advice of the Minister. I am grateful to the wonderful "Voices" and to Oleh, who testified before a respectable audience about his experience of the war, which began when he was seven years old, and about the 40 days of occupation in Mariupol in 2022."
The book “War through the Voices of Children” has been received by a number of European politicians:
The International Centre for Ukrainian Victory was created as a response to the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The purpose of the Centre is to advocate and defend Ukraine's interests at the international level, as well as to support actions aimed at accelerating the victory in the short and long term in various dimensions.
