Easter is a holiday that celebrates the victory of life over death, renewal, and symbolizes kindness for many people around the world. In honor of this holiday, we invite you to make a good deed and make a difference for Ukrainian children affected by the war.
Today, your act of kindness can contribute to their psychological recovery.
With nearly 6.5 million refugees from Ukraine recorded globally, and 4.9 million internally displaced, the impact of war is staggering. Over 200 schools have been destroyed, leaving approximately 900,000 Ukrainian children studying online. Over the past two years, children residing near the frontlines have spent 3000-5000 hours, equivalent to 4 to 7 months, in bomb shelters or underground stations. These hardships exact a heavy toll, particularly on the mental well-being of children.
The Voices of Children Charitable Foundation's online psychologists and psychotherapists receive hundreds of requests from children and parents in need of support monthly. Ukrainian families face challenges adapting to new cities or countries, struggle to manage anxiety over family members serving in the military, and coping with the loss of loved ones. Those who stay in Ukraine have problems with sleep, apathy, and excessive aggression.
A child or mother/guardian can receive anywhere from 1 to 13 psychological consultations provided by our organization. In certain cases, the fund will take care of a child or family for an extended period of time.
In 2023 alone, our online support team processed 1,340 requests and conducted 3,637 psychological sessions with children and parents. Your donation will help us continue this work.
Donate now and let your act of kindness for Easter bring the light to Ukrainian children.
