Our volunteers

A whole army of volunteers help to strengthen children’s voices. They devote their free time for translating texts into foreign languages, editing videos and coordinating projects. Meet these wonderful people, and if you also want to join – we always need volunteers – fill out the form by the link below.

I’m a Staff Scientist in the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering at Harvard University (Boston). I have a diverse scientific background with a focus on molecular biology, assay development, and viral vector engineering. In my free time from scientific work, I help the Foundation’s employees to improve their English language skills in order to better convey to the world community the truth about the war in Ukraine, its terrible consequences for children and their efforts to overcome these consequences.

I am from Odessa. I have been working as a teacher in international schools abroad for more than 12 years. I worked in Asia and Arab countries: in Oman, the Emirates, Malaysia, Korea. I love children and my work; I try to raise kind and empathetic leaders of the future. I am also interested in the topic of inclusion, currently studying at the University of Nottingham, UK, for a specialist in inclusive education.

I live in the City of La Quinta which is located in the southern low desert of California. I was born and raised in California. I have been an educational psychologist (or school psychologist) for the past 36 years. I am married and have a son who is 16 years old. My family also includes three cats, Cali, Thelma, and Jackson. During my weekends I enjoy bike riding and reading science fiction books. I became involved with Voices of Children because of the critical work the Foundation does in supporting children who have experienced trauma from the war. Through teaching English, I hope that I can help the good people of Ukraine in some small way.

Just like many people, I wear different hats in my life: I work, raise my kids, take care of my household, spend time with my friends, and engage in my passions. After graduating from the University I lived, studied and practiced in New York for about ten years. I have a degree in linguistics and in speech language pathology. In 2012 our family moved to Hong Kong where we continue living now. It’s a wonderful city that we love dearly. Nevertheless, I am sure there will be more adventures in our life going forward.
